Q-Sex News Porn Stars Protest At State Capitol Sacramento, CA: A coalition of porn stars, exotic dancers and other adult entertainers flocked to the state capitol Monday to oppose a so-called porn tax. Assembly Bill 1551, drafted by Assemblyman Charles Calderon of Whittier, would impose a fee on businesses that support the adult entertainment industry. Live dancers, videos, DVD's and "gentlemen's clubs" would all be affected. Among the porn stars that lobbied against the bill was Mary Carey, who ran for governor of California in the 2003 recall election. She argued that taxing adult entertainment would actually force the state to lose money. "People will just order more online or from other countries and that's not going to benefit California in any way," Carey said. Adult industry representatives said they generate $3 to $4 billion a year. Calderon said the bill is not about morals, but a way to balance the budget. The money raised would go to the "Adult Entertainment Venue Impact Fund." Q-News Bust Freedom Ends At Liberty Mall Day Spa South Brunswick, NJ: A Fort Lee woman was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution after police raided her Georges Road massage parlor Thursday. It was the second time the place was busted for selling sex in seven months. It was also the third prostitution arrest for the proprietor of the Liberty Mall Day Spa, 48-year-old Fort Lee resident Young Sook Kang. "Legitimate businesses are always welcome in our community, but this place has got to be shut down," said Township Police Chief Raymond Hayducka, who took the unusual step of personally attending the raid. "I wanted her to get the message loud and clear, so I told her in person: 'If you set up again I will place an uniformed officer outside your door,'" Hayducka said. The arrest followed a three-week investigation in which Kang offered to perform sexual acts on undercover officers on three separate occasions, police said. Detectives were tipped off by complaints from area businesses, police said. Yet Kang also took some bold moves herself, police said. She advertised in classified sections in area newspapers. And while filing the paperwork needed to re-open her business earlier this month, Kang handed the township a map police had sketched for their September 2006 raid, police said. Police Detective Ron Seaman uncovered the latter. When the business was shut down in September it was called the Pine Day Spa, police said. It was located in the same building, police said. Kang also was busted for selling sex out of a North Brunswick massage parlor in 2004. She plead guilty to a disorderly persons offense that time and in connection with the September 2006 charges, police said. This time, Kang is charged with promoting prostitution, which could land her three to five years in prison. Kang was lodged in Middlesex County Adult Correction Center on $15,000 bail. Hayducka said he is working with Mayor Frank Gambatese and the Township Council to develop an ordinance to regulate area massage parlors. "We were always worried about this as a problem," Gambatese said. Three Week Investigation!?!?! ~ $2.00 Bob ![]() 4/17/2007
Q-Sex News Man Acquitted On Casper Defense Carlisle, PA: A Newville man who said he accidentally filmed two teenage girls undressing at his house was acquitted on the most serious charges filed against him. After deliberating for six hours over two days, a Cumberland County jury yesterday found Donald L. Duncan Jr., 34, not guilty of four counts of sexual abuse of children for making and possessing the video. The panel of eight women and four men convicted Duncan on two charges of invasion of privacy. Duncan testified that he was trying to film ghosts or people doing silly things and didn't intend to capture the sisters, ages 13 and 14, disrobing in the spare room of his home in mid-2004. After the verdict, Senior Assistant District Attorney Matthew Smith conceded "the sexual abuse statute can be tough for jurors to understand, even though we believe it is applicable in this case." Sexual abuse of children charges typically are filed in child pornography cases. The counts carry penalties of up to seven years in prison, and those convicted are registered as sex offenders under Megan's Law. The maximum penalty for invasion of privacy is a year in prison. "The jury did find, though, that Mr. Duncan knowingly taped these... girls changing, and they did not believe the preposterous story of looking for ghosts," Smith said. Duncan and his lawyer, Senior Assistant Public Defender H. Anthony Adams, declined comment on the verdict. Police said Duncan was charged a year after he made the video when it was discovered by his wife. President Judge Edgar B. Bayley is to sentence Duncan next month. Q-Sex News So High School... Mantorville, NY: A Byron man has been sentenced to four months in jail for distributing stickers that featured derogatory sexual remarks and a woman's photo and phone number of his former girlfriend. Thomas Carl Tiedeman, 62, was sentenced March 21 in Dodge District Court after pleading guilty in December to a felony harassment charge. District Judge Lawrence Agerter stayed a one-year prison sentence and ordered Tiedeman to be on probation for five years. As part of his sentence, Tiedeman must perform 32 hours of community service and pay a $100 fine. He will receive credit for 69 days of jail time already served. According to the criminal complaint, the Kasson Police Department began receiving reports on Sept. 22 that someone was placing stickers on cars and buildings in Kasson. The stickers featured a photo of a woman, with derogatory sexual remarks. It also included the woman's name, address and telephone number along with the phrase "call me now for the best." On Sept. 28, Kasson police searched Tiedeman's home and examined three computers. The picture of the woman used on the stickers was found. In an interview with police, he admitted placing stickers on vehicles and that he printed about 20 stickers. Dude... your 62! Not 14! Move on already man! ~ $2.00 Bob ![]() 4/10/2007
Q-News Bust Like Mother, Like Daughter Hillside, IL: A teenager once arrested alongside her mother in a prostitution case has been accused of running an escort service out of her suburban Chicago home using the popular Web site Craigslist. Kimberly Petersen, 17, was arrested after detectives doing a routine search of the site's classified boards found one that included an offer to "enjoy a beautiful blonde" for $250 an hour and pictures of a smiling woman in lingerie. An undercover detective who called the number in the ad and arrived at Peterson's home was quoted a $300 rate for a 27-year-old woman to perform a sex act, Hillside Police Chief Joseph Lukaszek said. Petersen was released on bond late last week after being arrested and charged with a misdemeanor, police said. Heidi Mudge, 27, was charged with prostitution. A 48-year-old man who came to the house while police were investigating also was arrested. Petersen's mother, Kimberly Miniea, faced a similar charge last April after police said she told them she ran an escort service to "entertain married men." The charge was dropped. Petersen, then 16, also was arrested at the time but was not charged. Miniea is now in prison serving a two-year sentence on an unrelated drunken driving conviction. The Craigslist ad had been removed Sunday and a telephone number at Petersen's house was unlisted. Commenting on the ad, Craigslist spokeswoman Susan MacTavish Best said in an e-mail Sunday that all illegal activity is banned by the terms of use, nor is it welcome on the site. "We have received high marks from law enforcement for our quick and full cooperation with their inquiries," MacTavish Best wrote, adding users flag postings they deem inappropriate. Q-News Bust Operation China Doll Orlando, FL: An Orange County woman was arrested Friday on prostitution and racketeering charges, accused by police of operating 10 establishments where prostitution-related arrests occurred over the past two years. Li Ping Ding was charged with maintaining places for prostitution and racketeering after a two-year investigation that Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation authorities called Operation China Doll. Li is accused of operating 10 Central Florida massage parlors, three commercial storefronts and seven residential establishments, where customers would pay up to $160 per visit for illegal sex acts, according to MBI officials. Speaking as she was led in handcuffs to a sheriff's patrol car, Ding said she had been set up by acquaintances and police. 'People are angry at me,' she said to reporters before being driven away to the Orange County Jail. Later Ding was booked on 16 counts of deriving support and proceeds of prostitution, two counts of solicitation to commit prostitution, and one count each of maintaining a place for prostitution and racketeering. Her bail was set at $101,900. If convicted, she could face 30 years in prison on the racketeering charge alone. Ding, who lives in a Waterford Lakes subdivision, was at her Hang Zhou Spa at 6440 E. Colonial Drive on Friday afternoon before her arrest. She had made arrangements to meet an undercover agent who was posing as a potential buyer of her massage business. Ding's clientele was steered to her businesses through ads in the Orlando Weekly. According to the ads, Ding has operated several parlors under the names Asian Relaxation, Soothing Asian Massage, Long Quan -- Asian Massage, Beijing Spa and The Massage Buffet. Long Quan, which operated in Altamonte Springs, was the site of prostitution-related arrests by police in 2005 and 2006. This month, Ding advertised the sale of one of her businesses, which caught vice agents' attention and led to Friday's sting. Investigators say she offered to sell one of her massage parlors to an undercover MBI agent posing as a New York-based buyer. She told him that the business would pay for itself in three months. 'Massage Store for Sale!!! Good location! Great Business!! 5 Rooms -- Everything new! $60K.' A meeting to negotiate the deal with the undercover agent ended with Ding's arrest at her spa about 2:45 p.m. Another unidentified employee of Ding's also was taken into custody by MBI agents at Ding's Beijing Spa at 6500 W. Colonial Drive. MBI documents say Ding previously leased homes and used them to run massage parlors, which were closed down after complaints from neighbors to authorities. Ding employs mostly illegal immigrants from China, but some legal immigrants, from Korea and Vietnam, also were involved. The women could make up to $500 on good days with tips but lived in servitude because of their immigration status. At least 15 of them have been arrested on prostitution-related charges in the past two years, and some of them have cooperated or have been deported. How long do you think the meeting was to call it Operation China Doll? Do you think thay all patted each other on the back after they got the name! ~ $2.00 Bob ![]() 4/04/2007

Krems, AUSTRIA: A gang of Polish crooks escaped police in a high speed car chase by throwing sex toys at their pursuers, after robbing a sex shop. The police were pelted with vibrators, boxes of condoms, a computer and (most impressively) a vacuum cleaner, all of which had been stolen in a raid on the shop near Krems, Austria.
